Creative Doodling = Good Therapy!
Life consists of a series of patterns. Day and night, black & white and various shades of gray all make up a large part of what we often hurry by without noticing, Creative doodling is combining patterns or designs in various forms to present a new way of seeing the unusual in the ordinary materials around us. I like the stark contrast of black and white but in reality the world also consists of a riotous combination of colors, textures and patterns to which black and white does not always do justice.
Life can and often does get complicated and finding a healthy outlet to deal with the day to day stress is a large part of why I rediscovered my love of doodling. I can lose myself to everything around me by simply picking up a pen with no special design or course in mind. Most of my designs start with a simple outline or squiggle and then just seem to fill in with whatever happens.
Some are orderly and easily identifiable...others are no special object or pattern.
View them as is, rotate them in any direction and the design changes and reveals something new if that is what you seek.
I don't especially consider myself an artist. I am creative in several areas and doodling is simply another creative outlet. I encourage you to make yourself at home here and give yourself permission to pick up a pen and piece of paper and start doodling. You may just be surprised at what evolves and how addicting a simple creative outlet can be!
